Frequently Asked Questions

    Kids Gymnastics
    • Comfortable active wear that allows kids to participate freely. This may be shorts and fitted t-shirt, leggings or a leotard. Be sure to bring a water bottle.

    • Our recreational program covers a range of physical and social learning steps. Please refer to our Term Kids Gymnastics page for details.

    • Parent participation is required for the Toddler Gym and Pre Kindy Gym classes only. If your child still requires your support in the 3yo Kindy class, the staff are very understanding and accommodating and will allow this while working together with you to help build the children confidence and independence to participate without you. 

    • As per the terms and conditions, no make-up lessons or refunds are available for missed classes. Refunds may be provided in exceptional circumstances, resulting in 3 or more continuous classes being missed. All refund requests must be made via email to kidsactivities.hbfstadium@venueswest.wa.gov.au or in person at the Programs office. Refunds requested because of a medical conditions, resulting in missed classes, must be supported by a medical certificate. 

    • Yes! We can offer a free trial in our Term program to new customers only, and in those classes that still have space available. Free trials cannot be used during the Holiday Kids Gym Program.

      To book in for a free trial, a profile first must be created on the client portal for both the parent and child. Please then contact our office so we can book your child into your requested class if space is available. Following the trial you can log in to your portal and book in for the remaining of the term.

    • Not unattended. If there is another adult with you who can supervise the child who is not enrolled in the program, then they are permitted to be on the side but not on any of the equipment. Alternatively HBF Stadium Creche is conveniently located at the venue's entrance so you can enjoy knowing any additional children are being well looked after, while you enjoy your class with your enrolled child.

    • Online enrolment is via the customer portal. Existing customers use your email address and password to login. New customers select Join now and enter your details to create an account. 

    • No. You will be charged from the week after your free trial and charged on a pro-rata basis for the remaining of the term.

    • Lessons will not be run on public holidays and you will not be charged.
    • We strongly suggest that you still sign up for the most suited class to your child’s age. These classes are aged based and takes into consideration the behaviour of the age group while catering for all physical abilities within that age bracket. If you still want to trial the younger class, then we can arrange that, and the supervisor will be able to make their recommendations for your child once the class concludes.

      *This also applies for parents who want their child to go into the older age group.

    Kids Sports Club
    • Picking up and dropping off your children is strictly between the times of 8.30am–9.00am, 12.30pm–1.00pm and 4.30pm–5.00pm unless previously arranged with VenuesWest.

      If children are picked up after 5.10pm, a $15.00 late pick up fee will be charged. The late pick up fee must be paid prior to making future Kids Sports Club bookings.

    • The Activity Schedule can be found on our Kids Sports Club page. The updated schedule is published three weeks prior to the commencement of each holiday. 
    • If there are no slots for the preferred date/session, this indicates the program/session is full.  

    • No - Children must be 5 years old to attend the program.
    • Coaches conduct a swim test across all age groups and children need to be able to show they can blow bubbles, submerge head under water and swim 10 metres with no problems.  It is a mandatory requirement for all our Juniors 5 – 6 year old group to wear floaty belts before entering the water.  They will wear this during the swim test and duration of their water activities.  Our intermediate and senior group are not required to wear a float belt however if they fail the first swim test they will be taken through a second swim test with a floaty belt.  If they pass with the floaty belt, they will be required to wear the belt for the duration of the activities.  Children that require floaty belts are not permitted to participate in the dive towers activities.  If a child fails all swim tests, they will not be able to participate in the water activities and will be given sit down activities on the side of the pool.

    • Lessons will not be run on public holidays and you will not be charged.

    • No – you can select the sessions and dates you would like your child to attend. 

    • Yes – to cancel a booking you need to ensure this is done 24 hours prior to your booking.  To cancel, you will need to log into your portal, click on “My Bookings” and select the “Cancel” tab on the preferred date.  This will apply a credited product to your child’s profile for you to use for alternative dates or future holidays.  

    • Due to our licensing, ratios and safety of the children we do need to keep the children within the age bandings set for the program and as advertised.  Therefore, we are unable to place your child in the requested age group

    • Yes – you will need to pack morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.  We also have lunch order forms available on the website if you would like to order from our café.

    • Our main hub for the program is in Arena 2.  Pick up and drop off is located at the roller doors in front of the Mulberry Childcare Centre.  The best place to park is in Carpark 1.  Although, Arena 2 is the main hub for the program, changes to the location can change due to major events or unforeseen circumstances, therefore emails are sent to parents to advise of a change in location.   

    • Lunch orders are paid on the day your child is attending.  We have lunch order forms available at sign in and we have eftpos available.  If paying by cash, you will need to bring correct change.  Lunch order forms can also be found on the HBF Stadium website.  

    Crèche
    • You will be required to complete a crèche enrolment form for your child/children which includes terms and conditions. For your convenience we have included a selection of these below.

      Signing in and signing out

      Please book into the creche via the online member portal or kiosks in-venue. Upon entering the creche please sign in your children using the daily register. Children must also be signed-out when leaving the crèche. You will not be allowed to leave your child without booking them in first. 

      Parent / guardian

      A parent or guardian must remain on HBF Stadium premises for the duration of your child’s visit to the crèche. Parents are permitted to go to the Athletics or Basketball Stadium.

      Infectious conditions

      If your child has an infectious condition, please respect other families by not bringing them into the crèche. This includes minor illnesses such as runny noses, chesty coughs and head lice.

      Labelling

      Please label your child’s items, e.g. clothing, bag, dummy, bottles, toys etc.

      Child collection

      Please advise a staff member if someone else will be picking up your child. This will also need to be written in the daily register. 

      Change of clothing / bottles etc.

      Please supply all necessary provisions for your child, e.g. nappies, baby wipes, change of clothes for emergencies or prepared bottles for babies (heated if necessary).

      Food

      You may wish to supply some fruit/vegetables while your child is in our care. The creche has a fruit/vegetable only policy. Please ensure only fruit or vegetables are packed due to allergies.

      Prams

      All children under two years old must be left in the crèche with a pram for evacuation purposes.

    • Don't skip your workout!

      School holiday childminding for kids 6 – 12 years, so you can stay in routine over the school holidays. While you work out we’ll keep your children entertained with ball games, board games and other activities. Payment is made via the portal, kiosk in-venue or main reception.

      Operating during school holidays Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Parents must remain on premises and must fill in online enrolment form and attendance register on arrival.
