Holiday Swim

These classes are all about establishing children's familiarity of the water by practising paddle hands, leg kicks, floating and safe entry and exit from the water. As the class progresses, focus moves to unassisted skills and the development of water treading and the freestyle stroke.

Classes focus on stroke technique across freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Later stages introduce survival strokes, diving and endurance in preparation for squad levels.

A unique challenge for those that love water. It’s serious fun! Kids learn skills that could one day save a life, including pool lifesaving skills with an emphasis on swimming skills, lifesaving knowledge, community education, fitness leadership and teamwork competition.

Kids learn skills to participate in a race so that they can achieve their personal best and help to minimise the nerves often involved in participating in a race for the first time. Sessions focus on race starts and diving off the block, relay changeovers and stroke development.
